The Cost & Complexities of Probate

A recent article in the Daily Telegraph discusses the surprisingly high costs which come with probate and the unexpected complexity of the process. Journalist Liz Hodgkinson describes her experience as co-executor of a friend’s estate. She talks – among other things - about how quickly costs can incur if on an hourly rate, how time-consuming it can be to have assets valued, as well as the difficulty of selling assets abroad.
